I often reach for butterflies to add a focal point to a card but for this one I wanted something a little less feminine, dragonflies were a perfect choice to go with the watery background.
The background has been created using a single stamp from Artistically Inked. I've used Misty Moonlight, Pacific Point and Balmy Blue and allowed the stamping to overlap to completely cover the white. I love this stamp and in these colours think it looks like the surface of water in a pool.
The background has been mounted onto Sahara Sand and Just Jade cardstock. The sentiment, also from Artistically Inked, has been stamped in Just Jade and mounted onto Sahara Sand.
The dragonflies have been stamped in Just Jade onto vellum. Ink takes a long time to dry on vellum so I used my heat tool to dry it before punching out. I've added a large Blue Adhesive Backed Gem to each of the dragonflies.
I'm really pleased with this card, I think it would make a lovely birthday card for a man and I do struggle with cards for men.
Thanks for looking, back soon,
