Adorable Owls

My first post of 2023, Happy New Year!

My first card, or rather set of cards this year features a soon to be available Saleabration stamp set Adorable Owls. There are three different owl images, I’ve used just one here and coloured them differently for each of my four cards.

I started by choosing colours for those gorgeous eyes and then went with complimentary grey and brown tones.

Owl 2 Pool Party eyes, Gray Granite body

Owl 3 Crumb Cake eyes and body

Owl 4 Cajun Craze eyes, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake body

Next I chose my card stock colours and dsp. The dsp is another Saleabration item Dandy Designs, a bumper pack of 12x12 papers with lots of different patterns and colours.

Best Family Ever was used for my sentiments, this is such a useful set. I also used Stylish Shapes dies to cut the circles and banners.

Each of the circles had some texture added using a variety of embossing folders and to not hide all the embossing, I have placed the owl off centre on most of the cards.

The layers across the middle of the card are (cardstock) 2 1/4" and (dsp) 2" leaving plenty of room for the sentiment to be stamped above, below or both, directly onto the card base.

I think I prefer the owls coloured grey, however I do love the deep brown eyes of the owl on the Niece card so, in truth, I really can't decide.
