All Is Merry & Bright

I’m blog hopping with the Stamptastic Friends today and the theme is favourite colouring method. It was a no brainier for me, I’m at my happiest with a Stampin’ Blend in my hand!

I’ve combined the blog hop challenge with this month’s SU colour challenge and used some of my favourite Stampin’ Up! colours - Pool Party, Bubble Bath, Moody Mauve and Lost Lagoon.

I’ve used Bird’s Eye View to create a card in these beautiful colours, I’ve added a Christmas sentiment but the design would also be perfect for a winter birthday.

I started by choosing and stamping my bird and some leaves then set about colouring them. I fussy cut the stamped images, I didn’t cut around the birds legs as found it easier to also stamp the bird on my stitched square.

Both the white square (after stamping the bird) and the Pool Party square have been embossed using Snowflake Sky 3d embossing folder.

I wanted to add some delicate strands of thread, I cut Lost Lagoon Bordered ribbon along the length and pulled individual strands from it. I also ended up with a lovely frayed edge piece to use on the card. Silver & White Sheer ribbon and Silver Simply Elegant trim have also been used.

My stitched squares, circle and banners have been cut using dies from Stylish Shapes. I use this set of dies so much it‘s a great set to have in your craft stash.

I love the little bird in these pretty pastel colours, the pine trees dsp (Winter Meadow) provides a perfect background layer and all the little ribbon, thread and gem elements add a delicate touch.

I wonder what the other Stamptastic Friends blog hoppers have created for this challenge. You can check them out by clicking on the links below.

Now is a great time to join the Stampin’ Up! family as a demonstrator, during October there are two great joining offers to celebrate 35 years of Stampin‘ Up!

If you would like any further information please do get in touch. If you are in the UK, I would love for you to join my team.

As always product links at the end of this post, don't forget to use this month's host code to get a small gift and thank you card from me.

Thanks for looking,
