I haven’t used this set in a while, but the colours in this weeks Global Design Project challenge #GDP365 had me thinking about the roses in subtle two tone pinks.
Soft Succulent is definitely one of my favourite greens and don't Sweet Sorbet and Petal Pink go well together!
I started by stamping my leaves and roses. My leaves have been stamped off once or sometimes twice to give a softer look. The roses were inked up with Petal Pink and then a little Sweet Sorbet was added to the centres using a blending brush before stamping. Each of the stamped elements was then die cut.
My card base is Soft Succulent with a Petal Pink layer and then a White die cut Dots & Spots rectangle on top.
The card was assembled by sticking all the base layers in place and then arranging the roses and leaves in the bottom left corner. One if the roses has been added using dimensionals.
To be honest I hadn't considered how I was going to add a sentiment until the card was almost complete. I went for Best Wishes out of the same set and used Stylish Shapes dies to cut the circle and banner pieces. It nicely occupies the empty space at the top right of my card.
