Casually crafting design team - blog hop - Colour challenge - Flower pots

This month’s theme is to use one or more of the new in colours, have you seen them? Such beautiful colours that work so well together.

I've chosen the Welcoming Window stamp set for my card and used all of the in colours in the three pots of flowers.

I started with four 2 inch squares of basic white cardstock and on three of them stamped the little flower pots, I've used Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia. Next I stamped the foliage, two are Soft Succulent and the other Evening Evergreen. Finally I added the flowers in Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Polished Pink.

The fourth square has the sentiment stamped in Evening Evergreen. I wanted to mount the four squares onto a larger square of Soft Succulent cardstock. I find it much easier to stick first and cut after so I used a ruler to make sure the surrounding edge and the gaps in between the square were 1/8th inch.

Once lined up and stuck down, I then cut the two remaining edges of the square, ending up with everything centrally positioned and evenly spaced.

I've added a tiny baker's twine bow to each of the pots to add a little texture.

Below the Soft Succulent square I have added a larger square of Soft Succulent dsp with a diagonal check pattern.

I love these little flower pots and even though the stamp set has lots more to offer, I keep coming back to these.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this card come together, don't forget to check out the other blogs in the hop.
