I have used two of my favourite stamp sets, Gorgeous Leaves and Artistically Inked to create this card in Autumn colours.
I have stayed fairly true to the sketch with a vertical band and two horizontal panels.
I have created a card in my favourite size and format which is 6 inches square and used a white card base.
There is quite a lot of white showing on this card which is a style I have used quite a lot recently.
I started with a 5 1/2 inch square white layer and stamped the beautiful marble effect using a stamp from Artistically Inked. I prefer a softer image so used a blending brush to remove some of the excess ink. The colour is Pale Papaya.
I then added some dots (also from Artistically Inked) and leaf patterns (from Gorgeous Leaves). The colours used here are Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider and Cherry Cobbler.
With the base layer complete, I stamped the two panels with the Pale Papaya background and the sentiment and a couple of 'Gorgeous' leaves. Each of the layers sits on a slightly larger Pear Pizzazz base.
The leaves have a splatter style edge which looks amazing but makes it difficult to cut out. Stamping on the rectangle panel means I can fussy cut quite close and then when placed on the panel, the splatter detail shows around the edge.
I have added a bit of bling and texture by using some gold Simply Elegant Trim and gold Brushed Metallic Dots.
The Pear Pizzazz layers have been simply stuck with glue but I've raised up the two rectangle panels using dimensionals, this allows for the gold twine which is stuck to the reverse.
I have used these two stamp sets together so many times, they compliment each other perfectly, at the bottom of this post you will find product links for them and the other items used.
You can have a look around the other blog posts by clicking on the links below, you will find lots of inspiration and I'm sure many different interpretations of the sketch challenge.
Thanks for looking,
