Christmas Baubles

So I’ve been on holiday with blue skies and sunshine, then come home to a scorching heatwave and on my to do list was this months Casually Crafting Design Team Colour Challenge blog hop.

The colours cry out for sand, ocean and sunshine, what have I made? A Christmas card!!!

The colours here are a couple of old favourites, Sahara Sand and Coastal Cabana and the new Sweet Sorbet.

I've used a new stamp set Decorated with Happiness and add a single block stamp from Painted Poppies.

I've used the Painted Poppies stamp to create three areas of colour on a square piece of white card stock. I used blending brushes to remove some excess ink as I wanted a fairly soft impression.

Next I stamped the wonderfully simplistic bauble shapes in the same colours.

I stamped some random stars around the baubles and finally added my sentiment. My stamp set was ordered in English but when I opened it I found the French version inside! Stampin' Up are replacing it for me (they are always brilliant if something goes wrong) and I get to keep the French one so Joyous Noël it is!

Although the colours aren't an exact match, I found the Festive Pearls to be close enough to add one in the centre of each of the bows.

I wonder what the other design team members have created for this challenge, not too many Christmas cards I bet! You can check them out by clicking on the links below.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links below. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,

Katie x
