Decorated with Happiness is definitely my favourite Christmas set this year. I‘ve used it here for a Christmas card in non traditional colours, for the latest Global Design Project colour challenge #gdp369 .
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of orange tones so Pumpkin Pie is a colour I rarely use. I have to admit however, it really jumps out against the blues here.
I started with a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock and stamped the pine branches at the top in Night of Navy. I then blended Night of Navy around the edges, I went fairly dark with the colour building it up gradually.
The baubles were created by die cutting one in each colour and then swapping out the infill pieces. It's a fiddly job but with a bit of sticky tape on the back, not too difficult. The sentiment has been stamped and die cut using the largest banner from Stylish Shapes and trimmed on the right hand side.
I have die cut a few little stars in Pumpkin Pie and Balmy Blue to scatter around and used a couple of Festive Pearls at the centre of the bows.
