Christmas Tailored Tags

There is just a few days left to earn Saleabration items, today I have used two of my favourites on these sweet little Christmas gift tags.

The Saleabration items I've used are the rather wonderful Be Dazzling Speciality Paper and the Penguin Playmates dsp, each one being a possible free item with a £45 catalogue spend.

I've made lots of Christmas cards recently but it's been a little while since I made some tags. Everything here is die cut, in fact the only stamping is the heat embossed sentiment.

The dies used are from three different sets - Tailor Made Tags, Tasteful Labels and Christmas Tree Dies. All of these dies fit very easily through the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.

To create three tags I cut the pieces seen above, the tags have the same elements and all feature the colours Fresh Freesia, Soft Sea Foam and Just Jade and of course that sparkly Be Dazzling paper.

The shaped dsp which sits at the bottom of the tag has been cut using two dies, they go through the machine one at a time of course but it doesn't matter which shape you cut first.

Assembling the tags was pretty straightforward, first I added the dsp pieces, the bottom piece has been glued only on the straight edges so that one of the trees can be easily tucked in behind.

Each of the trees is stuck on with just a little glue, too much and it will be sticky through the little holes. No glue was added to the skinny trunks, the sentiment piece holds them in place.

The sentiment is from Tidings and Trimmings. I used a post it note to mask off the bottom line so that the text fit on the label.

I have used Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and a little Linen Thread on each of the tags. I think this might be my new favourite colour combo and I do love those trees!
