This month the Casually Crafting Design Team have a sketch challenge. I have chosen to create a card using my favourite New Horizon dsp.
This sketch works perfectly to show off the dsp, the piece I have chosen is a watercolour landscape in quite muted colours.
I started by picking out colours featured in the dsp, I’ve gone for Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya and Misty Moonlight.
The dsp has been cut into four small strips with the Pale Papaya cardstock a fraction larger. My focal point is the gorgeous dragonfly from Dragonfly Garden. I have stamped in Evening Evergreen and then coloured in Misty Moonlight and Pale Papaya using just the light Stampin’ Blends.
The dragonfly was punched out then trimmed so that the Misty Moonlight layer showed.
The little Pale Papaya flowers are Loose Flower Flourishes and add some texture to the card.
