Rain, wind, more rain and dark by late afternoon sums up the British winter at the moment, so a little summer escape using Oceanfront was most welcome.
I recently used this stamp set to create a countryside image but this time, it’s sea, sand and sky in beautifully bright colours.
All of the image elements come from the new stamp set Oceanfront which will be available to purchase from 4th January.
Apply your ink using a blending brush for the best effect and don’t be afraid to combine colours. The sky has been created using Pacific Point and Balmy Blue, the sea using Misty Moonlight, Pacific Point and Pool Party. The sand is So Saffron and Sahara Sand, the rocks Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake.
I’ve then added the foreground detail in Granny Apple Green (palm fronds), Old Olive (grass) and Soft Suede (grass seed heads).
I have simply trimmed the image and added it to a Crumb Cake base layer. The sentiment from Lovely You has been stamped and then die cut using Messages die, I trimmed the white piece to sit inside the stitched area.
A little Linen Thread and some Faux Sea Glass Shapes have been added for texture.
