Everything will be ok

This week we are casing the designer Wilma de Korte for the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP360. I’ve gone for a similar layout and used quite earthy colours.

I've tried out a couple of new (to me) products on this card, Watercolor Shapes stamps and Dots & Spots die.

The die has been used to create a mask, through which I added colour with a blending brush.

My watercolour shapes circle has been stamped in Pale Papaya and the dots are Granny Apple Green. The sentiment (Charming Sentiments) has been stamped in Early Espresso.

Once I had finished stamping, I assembled the card. On an A6 white card base I added a rectangle of Crumb Cake cardstock, on this sits the stamped layer with a strip of dsp at the bottom, the dsp is from Hues of Happiness and is Granny Apple Green with a brushstroke effect.

I die cut a couple of meadow flowers from Soft Suede and added a little Early Espresso with a blending brush. The stems were trimmed a little before sticking into place.

A couple of Brushed Brass Butterflies and a Linen Thread bow complete the design.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links below. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,

Katie x
