Today's card is my entry into this week's Global Design Project Colour Challenge #GDP341
These are really pretty colours that go so well together. Pool Party is an old favourite of mine and Pale Papaya, definitely a new favourite.
The card is all about texture, I have used Splatter embossing folder on the white layer and then added a little Pool Party using a blending brush. Both this and the Pale Papaya layers have had the edges 'roughed up' a bit using the blade of my snips.
Beautiful Shapes dies have been used to cut the hexagons in all three cardstock colours and Waves of the Ocean dsp which is a perfect match.
I've attached a piece of Pool Party sheer ribbon before sticking the cardstock layers to my card base. I love the way the Pale Papaya cardstock shows under the curled up corners.
A simple black Meadow die cut felt like the perfect focal point, taking nothing away from the gorgeous colours. I found a sentiment in Hand Penned that fit the small hexagon perfectly.
