I had a little more time to play with my pre-order today and had a go at stamping on the new self adhesive linen sheets. I love them!
I wanted to keep the stamping really simple but couldn't resist adding in all of the new in colours.
I've used Hand-Penned Petals for both the flowers and the sentiment. The sentiment and stems are stamped in Evening Evergreen, the flower petals are in each of the other four colours.
With the first attempt I stuck the linen straight onto Evening Evergreen cardstock and was surprised by how much colour came through, it does however really show off the linen texture. The second one has the linen stuck onto white before mounting onto Evening Evergreen, I think I prefer it this way buy I might have to experiment with different coloured cardstock behind the linen.
I thought stamping onto a textured surface might be tricky but it was actually really easy and the end result is both crisp and detailed. The ink dried instantly so I was able to complete the card without having to wait for it to dry.
Of the colours I'd used for the flower petals, I picked out Fresh Freesia for the bottom cardstock layer and the ribbon, it is such a pretty colour.
