I don’t often go for ‘cute’ sets but I couldn’t resist the Sweet Peas stampset. Todays card is for the May Stamptastic Friends blog hop, with the theme Male/Masculine. Is it a masculine card? probably not but I’d definitely give it to a man😊.
One of the new Stampin’ Up! Colours is Shy Shamrock, it’s a lovely fresh, vibrant green and I’ve used it here as my card base, to stamp the leaf pattern and for some of the colouring.
The images are just so cute, and easy to colour with a few shades of green and perhaps a red or blue for contrast. As I was making a birthday card, I’ve used the ‘party’ peas, I’m not sure who I would send Hello GrumPEA to but I would definitely use the ‘love’ peas and the ‘baby pea.
My pea pod is coloured in Shaded Spruce as well as Shy Shamrock, the peas are Granny Apple Green. No dies with this set so a little fussy cutting for the two single peas.
Putting the card together was just a case of sticking all the layers in place and then adding the two peas using dimensionals.
