Happy Dancing

The hare in Playing in the Rain looks so happy splashing in a puddle, and the turtle is just too cute. Both characters feature in my card for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge #GDP382.

I decided to use the three circles as part of the main design but with some spotlight colouring.

I started by stamping my three images onto Basic White cardstock. Then I got a piece of vellum (tracing paper would work too) and laid it on top. I worked out where I wanted my circles to go and then, one at a time, stamped the same images in the right place.

The circles and the banner for the sentiment are from Stylish Shapes, I have to say I am finding these dies really useful and use them a lot.

Spotlight colouring is where you only colour part of an image, I coloured the images on the circles and left the base layer uncoloured. These images are really fun to colour with Stampin' Blends, Ive added Pool Party to the background to tie in with one of my cardstock layers.

The card has been assembled with two layers of coloured cardstock beneath the white and my sentiment (Full of Love) is heat embossed in white onto Starry Sky.

I hope you like my interpretation of the sketch challenge this week. As always, if you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links at the end of the post. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,

Katie
