Inked & Tiled Vase

We have a colour challenge this month with the Casually Crafting Design Team and what fresh, pretty colours they are.

The colours are Parakeet Party, Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana and I've used Inked and Tiled stamp set to create my card.

I started by using blending brushes with all three colours to make a background.

The next step was to stamp some leaves in Coastal Cabana. I added a piece of vellum to help the vase and flowers stand out.

I made the vase by using a circle punch on a rectangle of Coastal Cabana cardstock and then stamped the texture lines repeatedly down the length of the vase, heavier at the top than the bottom.

The flowers were stamped, carefully inking up the stems in Parakeet Party and the flowers in Flirty Flamingo before stamping. I stamped two full strength and one stamped off. These were fussy cut with a couple of the flower pairs separated before tucking into the vase.

The vase has been stuck on using dimensionals and has some white Bakers Twine looped around. Lastly I added a thin strip of white with a simple 'just a note' greeting, decorated with Coastal Cabana tinsel gems.
