Today is catalogue go live day and I’m bringing you a card made using a new stampset, new embossing folder and a gorgeous new colour.
There are five new colours and this one is definitely my favourite, it's a rich blue with a hint of purple, so pretty.
My card has an embossed layer created using Fern 3D with Orchid Oasis cardstock. The cardstock was a little larger than the embossing folder so I fed it through twice knowing that the top layer would cover the join.
I started by adding a hint of colour using a torn strip of paper, the ink pad and a blending brush. You really do need to add very little colour to get a lovely subtle effect.
The stamped elements were then added, first the splatter from Nature's Prints (stamped off), the the lovely ferns, then a little of the lighter splatter from Color & Contour. Lastly I added my sentiment also from Color & Contour with the word 'now' masked off.
For even more texture I've added some Baker's Twine and In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
I think I will be using this colour lots over the coming months and am looking forward to seeing which of the existing colours it works well with.
