Playing in the sun

The theme for this week’s Global Design Project challenge #gdp391 is rain or shine, I’ve used Rays of Light with Playing in the Rain to create a brightly coloured and fun card.

I started by stamping Rays of Light in Daffodil Delight with a little Crushed Curry added to the edges using a blending brush. Once stamped, I trimmed the image and then cut horizontally near to the centre of the sun to create two usable pieces.

I decided to use the slightly smaller piece and added a piece of Parakeet Party for grass, layering them both onto Tahitian Tide.

I’ve had Playing in the Rain for several months but this was my first time cutting the little bridge. I’ve used one of the new in colours, Copper Clay, a lovely rich warm brown.

My playful little hare has been coloured using Stampin’ blends, touches of Ivory for shading and Petal Pink on the ears and nose, Tahitian Tide and Balmy Blue for his shirt.

My sentiments (cut using Stylish Shapes) are from the super useful set Best Family Ever. I’m so happy that this one is carrying over into the new Annual catalogue.

I hope you like this cute, fun and brightly coloured card. As always, if you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links at the end of the post. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,

Katie x
