Sending Birthday Wishes

I’ve made a card with a good splash of colour today for this week’s Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #gdp342.

I’ve used a real mix of products here, Sending Smiles bundle, Beautiful Shapes dies, Elegant Eucalyptus 3d embossing folders and Hues of Happiness dsp.

The embossing folder is a twin pack in mini size so fits nicely in the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. I really love the design of both folders.

My splash of colour comes from the Hues of Happiness dsp which contains a rainbow of colours and floral images. I’ve cut four narrow strips of dsp and overlapped them down the left hand side of the card after I had added the embossed layer.

The small circle is Melon Mambo (Beautiful Shapes dies) as is the stamped sentiment. Along with ‘sending’ that can either be stamped or die cut, there is a really good selection of useful sentiments, I went for Birthday Wishes. Finally I added some Glossy Dots in coordinating vibrant colours.

On the whole I prefer a pastel, subtle, even neutral colour palette but I like the vibrant colours on this card, perhaps because it is offset by a good amount of white.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links below. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,
