The Sending Hugs set had been on and off my wishlist for a while. I love the small sentiments and the large floral image but just wasn't sure I'd use 'hugs' very much. In the end I decided it wouldn't be that difficult to cover up the word hugs so I bought it.
I've used the stamp in two different ways for today's cards. On the 4 inch square one, I stamped the edge of the square top and bottom leaving a nice white space in the middle for a sentiment, this one's from Sweet as a Peach. On the A6 card I have stamped the whole image in the centre with the sentiment on a panel covering the word hugs. The sentiment for this card comes from Ornate Thanks.
The colours used for colouring both cards are mostly the new in colours with the addition of Petal Pink and Mint Macaron. This is a beautiful stamp to colour and doesn't take too long considering it's a big image.
The cardstock layers match the colouring, I have used Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent. I have used Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the layers except Soft Succulent which has been trimmed close. You will notice I have die cut a rectangle from the Fresh Freesia layer, simply because it's hidden and I don't like wasting cardstock!
This really is a lovely stamp to colour and I like that it is big enough to use just part of it if you wish.
Here's what I used, thanks for looking,
Katie x
