Today I am blog hopping with the Casually Crafting Design team and for our last blog hop of 2023 we have a tic tac toe challenge. This has given me the perfect opportunity to craft with some new products that will be available in January.
I've chosen the first line from top to bottom, embossing - ribbon - purple. I love purple and the new Perennial Lavender dsp has a gorgeous mix of purple shades.
I don't often create slim cards but I've gone for a DL size card as it really suited the dsp and the stamped lavender image.
These are the two new stamp sets I've chosen to use. I've bought both of them bundled with dies but just used the stamps for today's card.
I started by choosing my dsp layer, there are so many pretty sheets it was hard to select just one! My single lavender stem has been stamped in Shaded Spruce, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. The sentiment has been heat embossed in white onto Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
I've used two different ribbons, the Pool Party one is a new Saleabration item and has a lovely crinkle effect. I've added the natural wavy trim on top and tucked both in behind the dsp layer.
I've added one of these paper butterfly accents, you get 40 in the pack, 8 each of 5 designs and I've coloured mine using a blending brush. A purple gem on the body of the butterfly adds a little sparkle.
This was my first play with the new sets, my pre order only just arrived and I couldn't wait to get started. I hope you like purple as I think I will be using it a lot.
