My card today is for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge #gdp446 and I’ve used a current favourite of mine, Attention Shoppers.
The sketch was a nice simple one, three vertical bands and one horizontal one across the middle.
I’ve used a really pretty piece of Thoughtful Journey dsp, cutting 3 x 1” strips and then embossing them with Painted Texture 3d embossing folder (now an online exclusive).
My strip across the middle is Boho Blue, my favourite blue by far.
I picked the flower bouquet and the birthday cake as my feature elements and coloured them with Blackberry Bliss, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.
I wanted to add some threads and used Silver & White ribbon which I cut down the middle and Boho Blue and Moody Mauve Jute Trim which I split into three thinner strands. I added the threads to the back of the Boho Blue strip and used dimensionals to stick it onto my card.
I added the flowers and cake then the sentiment, the flowers were a bit hidden so I stamped and fussy cut more flowers to stick on top.
Once I had placed all the elements, I added some Rainbow Dots and trimmed the threads to lengths I was happy with.
Attention Shoppers is proving to be such a versatile set, I’ve got an idea for the little plant pot next, watch this space.
