If there is one stampset in the Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue that makes me smile, Silly Safari is it, those little faces are just so happy.

The make.
I had an idea to use all of the animals on one card and loved the way that this was possible with the cute little monkey hanging upside down.
I was a long way through making my card before I realised there was a much easier way, but I'll get to that in a while.

I started by positioning my animal stamps on a rectangle of white card and then used my largest clear block to pick them up and ink up all together.
I took my time colouring them with Stampin' Blends using various browns and greys with the addition of yellow and orange on the leopard (he's my favourite) and the giraffe.
Then I went about fussy cutting all around the animals leaving a white border. It would have been so much easier to stamp and fussy cut them individually and I could have used scraps of card rather than a nice large piece. Ah well, never mind.

The leaf background was stamped randomly using the two leaves in the set. The solid leaf was stamped (on Soft Sea Foam cardstock) in Granny Apple Green, the 'frondy' leaf was stamped in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.
The frame was made up by cutting 1/2" strips of Pecan Pie cardstock and then I used the two little abstract pattern stamps and Early Espresso ink to decorate it.

This stamp set is just perfect for cards for babies and children or anyone really who appreciates 'cute'.
I wonder what the other Stamptastic Friends blog hoppers have created for this challenge. You can check them out by clicking on the links below.
