Blessings of Home

Updated: Jan 4, 2022

I’ve gone for a very simple colour palette with this card and quite minimal colouring.

The background has been created by cutting small hexagons with Beautiful Shapes dies using a new Saleabration dsp Simply Marbleous.

I created a pattern I liked before sticking them to my card base. The paper has a ‘cloud’ effect on one side which is what I have used here and a ‘watery’ effect on the other.

Next I stamped the smaller of the two floral images from Blessings of Home in Basic Gray and added a little colour using water colour pencils, picking out the colours used in the dsp.

The Messages die has been used to cut out my sentiment, I trimmed it a little after to better fit the text.

Little clear diamond shapes from Silver and Clear Epoxy Essentials were perfect to add to the hexagons. I have also added a bow which has been created by stripping a small length of white bakers twine and then using eight strands to create the bow.

I really like the simplicity of this card with plenty of white space and just a hint of colour.
