Hearts is the theme for this week’s Global Design Project challenge #gdp427, I’ve used a new bundle called Hooray for Surprises.
The bundle has some really sweet images and lovely bold, easy to read sentiments. It's a clever set with some of the dies creating pop out panels which I haven't used here.
My colours are Pool Party and Calypso Coral, as well as the bundle, I have used Softly Stippled dsp (Saleabration), Stylish Shapes dies, Timeworn Type 3d Embossing Folder and Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon (Saleabration).
I cut a piece of the dsp 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" and a piece of vellum 5 1/4" x 3 1/2", the vellum has been embossed using Timeworn Type.
A piece if the crinkle ribbon was added before I stuck the dsp layer to my card base. I've added two hearts, one stamped and then die cut, the other, two layers of die cut hearts, the top one with the dotty pattern.
Lastly I stamped my sentiment and then used a square stitched die to cut it but cutting twice by moving the die to create the size I wanted.
I want to add some gems but my order with Calypso Coral Opaque Faceted gems (Saleabration) is still on it's way to me so that will have to wait a few days.
