Christmas Wrapping

I am so far out of my comfort zone creating 3d projects but gift wrap is the theme for this month's Stamptastic Friends blog post so I thought I would create a gift bag, well two actually.

I can't take the credit for the design, it's one I found on Pinterest, made by Connie Stewart www.simplysimplestamping.com . I liked the fact that it used a whole 12x12 sheet of dsp to create the two bags and that you get to see both sides of the pretty paper.

The instructions for the cuts and folds are as per the picture above, I used my trimmer to score rather than my scoring board but both work equally well.

The bags are quite straightforward to put together, but if you need full instructions, do visit Connie's site where you will find a great video.

I used my favourite dsp, Winter Meadow, I'm so glad this one is carrying over!

I used a single hole punch and looped some silver & white ribbon through. The tags have been created using Tailor Made Tag dies, Joy of Noel bundle (retiring) and Christmas Classics (retiring). A little silver Simply Elegant Trim was used to attach the tag to the bag.

The bags are really cute, a good size for something small like jewellery or a make up compact or perhaps some sweet treats.

I wonder what the other Stamptastic Friends blog hoppers have created for this challenge. You can check them out by clicking on the links below.
