Dainty Delightful

I saw a technique earlier in the week, shared by Melodie Vijoen, a member of the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team. She showed a card with partial die cutting and I knew I wanted to try it with the Dainty Delight bundle.

I love how the Stylish Shapes dies have a stitch effect on the outside as well as the inside, it’s not often I use the piece that the shape has been cut from but that’s what I’m doing here.

First I cut my layers, the dsp is 5 1/2” x 3 3/4” and the white layer is 5 1/4” x 3 1/2”. Next I stamped my floral image using Memento black ink, then I partially die cut the stamped flowers by running it through my die cutting machine but stopping roughly halfway.

At this point I positioned the circle die as shown and ran it through again, this time all the way.

I coloured the flowers using Stampin' Blends, the colours can be found in the product links at the bottom of the post.

My dsp is a couple of reverse side pieces from the Saleabration item Dainty Flowers (free with a £45 catalogue spend until the End of Feb). I just love it!

I added sentiments from Happiness Abounds, this really is my favourite set for a sentiment, perfect size, pretty font and polymer so really easy to stamp straight.

Once assembled I added a few Glossy Dots on the circle line to the left and right of the flowers.

I'm so pleased with how these turned out, this stamp set has the most gorgeously delicate flowers and is so quick to colour.
