Lavender & Butterflies

Updated: Jan 6

With Christmas well and truly behind us I took advantage of a quiet afternoon to play with the gorgeous new bundle, Painted Lavender.

My card today is an easy but effective book fold design. The card base is Shaded Spruce, I cut an A4 sheet in half lengthways, folded in half and then scored the front 1” in from the spine.

I used two different dsp patterns that complimented each other and stuck the pieces in place. The Perennial Postage die set is one I’m going to get lots of use out of and I love the little postmark die that embosses.

I added a sentiment from Inked & Tiled and stamped the lavender and grass above it. The butterfly is one of the paper butterfly accents, you get 40 in the pack, 8 each of 5 designs and I've coloured mine using a blending brush and added a couple of purple gems.

As I made my card base with a dark colour, I added a white piece inside and stamped some lavender on it leaving plenty of space to write a message.

The inside space is smaller than the card front as the 1" wide strip is stuck down so that part doesn't open up.

Below you will find product links for all the items used, the links take you to my online Stampin' Up! store and to show my appreciation for your order, if you use the current month's host code, I will send you a thank you card and a small gift.

Thanks for looking,

Katie x
