Making Spirits Bright

I have been using really soft greens, blues and pinks for most of my Christmas cards this year but for this card I've gone for more traditional, rich red, green and gold. My card is for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge #gdp414.

I have used my favourite set for this Christmas, Joy of Noel and added the gorgeous Joy of Christmas dsp.

My card base (A6 size) is Cherry Cobbler cardstock, the dsp layer has been cut slightly narrower to allow the red to show left and right. I cut a couple of stitched circles, large - Very Vanilla, small - Cherry Cobbler.

The festive image has been heat embossed in gold and coloured with Stampin' Blends. The sentiment has been stamped in Shaded Spruce (MAKING and BRIGHT) and gold heat embossed (spirits).

I've added a few gold Festive Pearls and a gold Simply Elegant Trim bow for a little extra sparkle.

As I used a dark coloured card base, I added a Very Vanilla layer inside and stamped in Crumb Cake. The sentiment and little corner details are from Christmas Classics.
