Making Spirits Bright

I know I’ve used Joy of Noel a lot for my Christmas cards this year but I really do love it and am finding it works in so many different colours.

This month the Casually Crafting Design Team blog hop is a colour challenge, the colours are beautifully subtle and work well together although perhaps not an obvious choice for a Christmas card.

I started by stamping the large foliage image in Basic Gray covering all the edges of a rectangle of Basic White. I have coloured the leaves in Smoky Slate and Soft Sea Foam and the berries in Balmy Blue.

The white image layer sits on Smoky Slate cardstock and I added a Soft Sea Foam strip of cardstock which has been embossed in white with the lovely 'knit' texture' stamp.

I fussy cut my sentiment, added some of the beautiful silver and white ribbon. To finish it off I created a little sprig of holly by fussy cutting some small leaves and adding some sparkly blue Tinsel gems.

I wonder what the other design team members have created for this challenge, you can check them out by clicking on the links below.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links below. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,

Katie x
