Can I start by saying I absolutely love this dsp! My favourite sheet is the one I’m using here, I always struggle to use the really pretty ones, I just don’t want to cut them. I decided to take the plunge and cut up a whole sheet to see how many cards I could make.
The answer is 11 and I wasted the tiniest little scrap no bigger than a finger nail.
Isn't it beautiful? I love the colour palette, the imagery and that there is some white space within the design. I cut it as follows -
I like the variety of usable pieces this gave me and the fact that some pieces had lots of pattern and some lots of white space.
The three colours I picked out were Misty Moonlight, Moody Mauve and Lost Lagoon, I also added a little Pool Party when colouring the stamped images.
All of my stamping and die cutting was done using Joy of Noel bundle, Christmas Classics stampset and Stylish Shapes dies. I also used Merry Melody 3D embossing folder to add some texture to a few of the cards.
I picked out some ribbon and gems that coordinated well with the colours, details of which can be found at the end of the post.
Some of my cards have lots of stamped, coloured and/or die cut pieces, some have little more than the dsp, a cardstock layer and a sentiment. I do have a few favourites but would be happy to give every single one of them out at Christmas time.
I had a lot of fun putting this selection of cards together and found working with these colours very calming, I hope you like them as much as I do.
