Artistically Gold

Here is my entry for this weeks Global Design Project sketch challenge #GDP334.

I love a good sketch challenge, the possibilities really are endless. I've chosen to use the wonderful, but sadly soon to be retiring Expressions in Ink dsp which has lots of lovely gold foiling.

In addition to the dsp, I have used Celebrate with Friends for the sentiment and the pretty, simple flower stem from Color & Contour. I wanted to heat emboss both in Just Jade so used my Stamparatus to first stamp in Just Jade, then re stamp with versa mark before heat embossing with clear embossing powder.

I've also used some pieces from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack to compliment the gold foil.

The dsp including the striped pieces top and bottom were stuck to the card base first then the wider gold Ephemera pieces.

The flower has been coloured using Soft Sea Foam and Polished Pink Light and Dark Stampin' Blends. The flower was then die cut and the sentiment fussy cut with a good pair of snips.

The very narrow Ephemera pieces were just rested on the card and then little off cuts of mini dimensionals on the back of the flower stem holds them in place.

I have finished the card with some sequins (Ephemera) and a bow of Polished Pink ribbon and Gold twine.

For every order placed during March using this month's host code PZPTR69C, I will make a donation of 10% of the order value (including tax & shipping) to the British Red Cross DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
