I know, I know it’s summer but today doesn’t feel like summer at all so here’s a card with a decidedly autumnal feel.
In the new July - December catalogue there is a bundle called Ringed with Nature, I wasn‘t so keen on the stamps but love the hybrid die and embossing folder set. Seriously clever stuff, you can die cut and emboss at the same time.
I used just the embossing folder on my Very Vanilla layer and then the embossing folder and large die to create the Crumb Cake tree ring. Finally I cut out the inside of the ring and a Very Vanilla insert using one of the smaller dies.
The twig, leaf and berry pieces have been die cut using white cardstock and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I’ve used Soft Suede, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.
I nearly added a gold bow but decided that Linen Thread was more in keeping with the earthy tones. My sentiment is from Happiness Abounds, I’ve just realised that the last eight blog posts I have created use that set for sentiments. I think it’s fair to say it’s earning it’s keep!
