This week we have a Global Design Project colour challenge #361 and the colours are Parakeet Party, Shaded Spruce and Flirty Flamingo.
Parakeet Party is such a bright, vibrant green, it goes really well with both Shaded Spruce and Flirty Flamingo.
I've included lots of fun textures in my card, the white layer has been partially embossed with 'stripes' and the black flower pot with 'splatter'.
The Dots & Spots die cut strip down the left hand side adds another fun textured element. I have used the die cut foliage elements from Splendid Stems leaving some of the leaf pieces in place. In fact the only stamping on this card is the sentiment.
Once I had all the elements prepared it was quite straightforward to put together. I have used an A6 card base on which sits the Flirty Flamingo layer. To that I have added my embossed white piece with the Spotty strip stuck over the 'non embossed' section.
I have added some Parakeet Party Striped Baker's Twine to the flower pot which has been stuck on using dimensionals allowing the foliage pieces to be tucked in at the bottom.
My sentiment has been die cut using one of the banner dies in Stylish Shapes and then trimmed before adding at the top of the card.
I enjoyed working with a pop of colour today, this card makes me smile, I hope you like it.
