Sketched Butterflies

This was the first bundle to jump out at me from the new annual catalogue. I’ve had so many butterfly sets over the years, do I really need another one……? YES, this might be my favourite butterfly stampset yet.

The butterfly images are beautifully detailed and lovely to colour with Stampin’ Blend Markers. Across the two cards I’ve used Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and a new colour, Peach Pie.

In addition to the new bundle, I’ve used a new embossing folder, Cute Crochet, I love the pattern detail on this one.

I went for the largest two butterflies, one for each card, stamped in black, die cut, then coloured.

Each card is made up of layers of Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and white cardstock. The gems and twine are Flirty Flamingo but I think they are a close enough match.

On the white layer of each card I have stamped the little butterflies and coloured them lightly. The larger butterflies are the focal point but I do like the little ones in the background.

I think I might make these cards again, or something very similar, but in completely different colours, perhaps yellows and greens or pinks and purples. What colours would you choose?

Below you will find product links for all the items used, the links take you to my online Stampin' Up! store and to show my appreciation for your order, if you use the current month's host code, I will send you a thank you card and a small gift.

Thanks for looking,

Katie x
