Today's card is my entry into this weeks Global Design Project sketch challenge #GDP358.
I love a card with texture and this one has plenty of it, all thanks to the wonderfully detailed dies and embossing folder.
I started by die cutting lots of the little branch and toadstool elements from scraps of basic white cardstock and then set about colouring them in. I love all the earthy tones of Autumn, Soft Suede and Old Olive are perfect. A complete list of the colours used is in the product list at the end of the post.
My card base is A6, then I have an Old Olive layer with an embossed Very Vanilla layer on top of that. I also embossed and die cut a tree ring in Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.
The tree ring has been added to the card using dimensionals so that I could easily tuck the branch elements in behind.
Once all the branch/berry pieces were stuck in place, I added the gorgeous little toadstools and my Charming Sentiments die cut greeting.
Finally 3 little Brushed Metallic Gems to complete the design. I really enjoyed colouring in the little elements and am so pleased with how this one turned out.
