If you love colouring and don’t mind a bit of fussy cutting then Yuletide Village is a perfect Christmas stampset.
I knew I wanted to create a village scene and started by stamping each of the buildings onto Basic White cardstock. Colouring in the buildings is pretty straightforward, you can have a bit of fun with the door colours, shutters and the house walls if you want to.
I’ve also added in a couple of pine trees, a bare tree and the little stone wall. Once coloured, each image was fussy cut and then the fun started.
The Misty Moonlight background layer has been embossed with Snowflake Sky embossing folder. I added some White craft ink to the inside of the folder which I think very subtly helped the snow pattern to stand out.
The 'snowy' layers in front of and in between the houses are Basic White cardstock with a torn edge. I found it easiest to work from the bottom of the card upwards, just adding glue to the bottom edges so as to tuck the next layer in behind.
Merry Christmas and the label it is stamped on are both from the Online Exclusive bundle Greetings of the Season. This one was a lovely big label die and I trimmed it to the size I needed.
This was by no means a quick card, but then I'm not the fastest or the best fussy cutter, but I think it was worth taking a little time over.
