Yuletide Village tag

Updated: Dec 5

Yuletide Village is my stamp set of the month for November and I wanted to share one more project before we move into December.

The purpose

Global Design Project colour challenge #gdp473.

The tools

Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

The products

Stamp set(s) - Yuletide Village, Greetings of the Season

Dies - Greetings of the Season, Iconic Imagery

Embossing folder(s) - Snowflake Sky

The colours

Pretty Peacock, Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lolly

The Make

I decided to create a gift tag using the largest of the Greetings of the Season dies. The bottom layer is Pretty Peacock, the top is water colour paper. I embossed then spritzed the water colour paper and added each of the three colours using water painters.

On a separate piece of water colour paper I added the three colours again and on top, stamped the pine tree in Pretty Peacock. I could have fussy cut these but instead used the little tree die in Iconic Imagery which was a good enough fit.

The house has been stamped and coloured then fussy cut to sit at the bottom of the tag.

Another die from Greetings of the Season has been used to cut the Merry & Christmas tags, I adjusted the length of each by repositioning the die to recut the ends.

Pretty ribbons and threads are an absolute must for a one of a kind tag, here I've used Silver & White sheer ribbon and Lemon Lolly Baker's twine. Now I just need to find a suitable gift to use it with.

The shopping List

If you live in the UK, you can use the product links above which will take you to my online store. I would love to send you a handmade card and for all orders over £25 made using my host code (found on my home page) I will also send a small gift.
