Finally after what feels like weeks of rainy days we have had a sunny one. After enjoying a few hours in the garden I made this ‘sunny’ card.
I wanted to have a Lemon Lolly card base but am a bit low on cardstock, so instead I used regular white cardstock and coloured it with Lemon Lolly ink and a blending brush. A used the same method to add a little colour to the outside edge of the smaller white rectangle.
I stamped the daisy stem using Granny Apple Green (it's a straight stamp but photo polymer is quite easy to bend a little), the Birthday sentiment (Artistically Inked) and cardstock layer match. The daisy head is created using three layers of die cut, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lolly and White.
My Alphabet A La Mode dies came out again and I had a go at creating some ombré letters. I cut the H A P P Y letters out of white cardstock and used Light and Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends as well as the Color Lifter to create the effect.
Once my layers were stuck in place, I added the daisy head using a dimensional and then with a ruler positioned my HAPPY letters. Lastly 'birthday' which was trimmed by hand was put in place and a Daffodil Delight Glossy Dot added to the flower.
